The Arkansas High School Courtyard Dedication held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 was a great success! There was great excitement as the ribbon was cut and the courtyard was dedicated at Arkansas High School. Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this a wonderful place for AHS students to gather and enjoy!   | Texarkana Arkansas School District in January announced the 2011 recipient of the Arkansas High Distinguished Alumna Award, our own AWE President, Mrs. LeAnne Purifoy Wright! Mrs. Wright is a graduate of the class of 1986. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She also completed her Master of Science in Adult Education in 2006 at Texas A&M University - Texarkana. Mrs. Wright is the Director of Institional Advancement at Texas A&M University - Texarkana and serves as the Executive Director for the Texas A&M University - Texarkana Foundation. Mrs. Wright is also an active member of her community and of her church. She is married to Tim Wright and they have a son, Anderson, who is a sophomore at Arkansas High School. Arkansas Women for Education is proud of LeAnne and we extend our congratualations to her for this award. |
